The original salad recipe


  • 1 head romaine lettuce,
  • 1 egg,
  • 3 tbsp. l. red wine vinegar,
  • 2 large garlic cloves,
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil,
  • 1 lemon,
  • 1 h. L. Worcestershire sauce,
  • 1/4 Art. l. ground mustard
  • 1/2 Art. grated Parmesan cheese,
  • 150-200 grams of toast,
  • 50 g anchovy fillets,
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions for preparation:

  1. Wash the romaine carefully and wrap it in a paper towel so that it absorbed moisture. Then put in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or more.
  2. In a bowl pour the olive oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, mustard, garlic and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Heat the water to a boil, drop your back raw egg and let stand for 1 minute. Then remove the egg from the water and let cool. After cooling, add the egg into the sauce and whisk together.

  • 1 romaine lettuce (chopped or torn hands)
  • 100-150 g smoked chicken (minced)
  • 25 g parmesan (grated)
  • 1 h. L. chopped mint
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Cooking method:

  1. To make the croutons in a large bowl, mix the bread and butter until completely absorbed well and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Fry the bread cubes until golden brown and crisp, then place on a kitchen towel to excess oil glass.
  2. To make the sauce, in a large bowl, whisk together all the dressing ingredients and then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Toss romaine and smoked chicken with the sauce, then put in a large dish.
